This Friday, October 6, Potomac’s boys varsity soccer team played a home game against Collegiate School, located in Richmond, VA, which is ranked #1 in the latest poll of the VISAA (Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association), compared to Potomac’s also impressive #4 ranking. The game ended with a narrow defeat, 1-0, on a second-half penalty kick. Potomac remains first place in the MAC.

The first half began with an excellent save from goalkeeper Walker Lyall ‘24, setting the tone for an unyielding defensive effort. Although Potomac didn’t score, its stars pressed on offense throughout. Mac Wilson ‘24 had a overall standout performance, with Patrick Ritter ‘25 and Clay Chapman ‘25 using their speed and ball handling to control the game throughout the field.

“I’m proud of the effort that we showed,” junior Marshall Lloyd said, after the game.
